This means you won’t be under flight paths, your villa won’t be facing other resorts, and snorkel sites won’t be overcrowded. It’s the Maldives in its purest form. JA Manafaru: The road less travelled
This video also delves into how it’s often necessary to travel a little further to reach the most secluded resorts, like this one. JA Manafaru is a 70-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport. As a direct charter flight, you won’t have to stop at other islands on the way (unlike with most seaplane journeys). This scenic low-altitude flight also offers plenty of incredible photo opportunities.
The payoff is finding yourself at a blissful five-star resort in Haa Alifu Atoll – the most northerly atoll in the Maldives; steeped in history and folklore. According to Maldivian oral history, ancient kings used to travel to this atoll to receive blessings.
