Dig a little deeper into the Maldives to fully understand what the ‘true luxury of seclusion’ really means, and why it’s worth taking the road less travelled to JA Manafaru resort.
It’s a common assumption that every island in the Maldives is idyllically situated. But in fact, some resorts are even more perfect than others when it comes to location, views, and atmosphere. One such resort is JA Manafaru, in Haa Alifu Atoll. We teamed up with Forever Video to explain exactly why JA Manafaru is so beautifully secluded – and why this matters.
The true luxury of seclusion
As you can see, the natural island of JA Manafaru is surrounded by miles of glittering ocean, and very little else. This is what the ‘true luxury of seclusion’ means: The luxury of uninterrupted views, untarnished by other developments. This is a hallmark of the Maldives’ very best resorts.
With only a few resorts in Haa Alifu Atoll, it is very undeveloped compared to most other atolls in the Maldives. This means you won’t be under flight paths, your villa won’t be facing other resorts, and snorkel sites won’t be overcrowded. It’s the Maldives in its purest form. Despite the remote location, JA Manafaru has world-class amenities, including unique wellness offerings, large villas, superb cuisine, and highly personalised service.
JA Manafaru: The road less travelled
This video also delves into how it’s often necessary to travel a little further to reach the most secluded resorts, like this one. JA Manafaru is a 70-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport. As a direct charter flight, you won’t have to stop at other islands on the way (unlike with most seaplane journeys). This scenic low-altitude flight also offers plenty of incredible photo opportunities.
The payoff is finding yourself at a blissful five-star resort in Haa Alifu Atoll – the most northerly atoll in the Maldives; steeped in history and folklore. According to Maldivian oral history, ancient kings used to travel to this atoll to receive blessings.
We are grateful to JA Manafaru for inviting Forever Video and Manta Media to the island to understand the special vibe and what makes it so unique.
