Resort announces week-long festivities with costumes and face-painting
While Halloween isn’t a holiday celebrated at every resort in the Maldives, Niva Kuramathi‘s kids’ club is holding an entire week of spooky, fun events. As we explained last October in our guide, ‘What is Halloween like in the Maldives?’, not everywhere celebrates spooky season, but some family-friendly resorts lay on Halloween activities.
And Niva Kuramathi in North Ari Atoll is going above and beyond the call of duty, with an entire programme of daily Halloween shenanigans from October 26th to November 1st. Entitled ‘A Spooktacular Island Adventure’, it will involve magical adventures, creative crafts, games, pool fun and seasonal surprises at the resort’s Bageecha Kids’ Club.
Kids will be able to make spiders, bats, ghosts and magic wands in craft sessions, embark on a Halloween treasure hunt, discover the nocturnal side of nature at the Kuramathi Eco Centre, compete in zombie races and much more. On October 31st – the big day – they can get their faces painted and try on costumes in preparation for trick-or-treating, scary games, and surprises. The special activities run every day from 9.30 am until 5.45 pm.

A Niva Kuramathi spokesperson said: “Halloween feels different at Niva Kuramathi – softer, warmer, closer to nature. A week where children imagine freely, play barefoot, and find a little magic in the everyday”.
