Comprising two adjacent tiny islands ‘.Here’ offers a unique Maldives experience
This week, ‘.Here‘ opened its doors to guests searching for the ultimate in privacy. The tiny Baa Atoll resort consists of just nine villas in total, each with private pools and butler service. They are set across two adjacent natural islands – Somewhere and Nowhere – which are linked by a sandbar and footpath.
‘.Here’ is located at the end of the 1.2-mile (2km) long sandbank that begins at the tip of Seaside Finolhu resort and stretches the entire length of the lagoon. The new resort was created by the same company that owns Finolhu, the Seaside Collection. But the Seaside Collection tells us they see ‘.Here’ as a separate product within the same portfolio, rather than as an upscale ‘resort within a resort’. Guests from ‘.Here’ are welcome to use the amenities at Finolhu, if they wish. But Finolhu guests do not have access to ‘.Here’.

On Somewhere, all seven of the two-storey residences blend the beach villa experience with the water villa experience – so you don’t even need to choose between them. These sprawling indoor and outdoor retreats begin on the narrow island and stretch out into the lagoon, allowing for panoramic ocean views on both sides.
At the front, the residence is perched on stilts over the lagoon, while on the opposite side, a series of sun terraces descend from the bedrooms to the island’s white sands. A highlight of these villas is the 47m (154ft) suspended infinity pools, complete with waterfalls. These pools stretch the entire length of the villas, from front to back.
Five of the villas have three bedrooms and sleep up to eight adults. The remaining two residences have four bedrooms and are for up to 11 adults.

Two minutes away, at the end of the sandbank, is the second island, Nowhere. In the first quarter of 2026, when Nowhere opens to guests, two villas will be made available. But unlike with Somewhere, Nowhere is intended to be booked in its entirety. So, extended families, groups of friends, or just couples who want total privacy will be able to book out the entire island of Nowhere.
The five-bedroom Presidential villa with 28m (92ft) swimming pool, two-storey living room, and its own private beach will be the highlight. There will also be a second villa with 3 bedrooms and a 15m (49ft) pool. In total, Nowhere will be able to accommodate up to 24 adults.

Nowhere is also home to Fehi Spa, the resort’s fitness centre, and a water sports centre. These amenities will only be accessible to those staying on Nowhere. However, spa treatments can be carried out in the privacy of your villa if you stay at Somewhere.
Somewhere is where ‘.Here’s’ restaurant and bar are located. Chefs are on hand around the clock to curate bespoke menus which can be enjoyed at the overwater restaurant or in the privacy of your villa.
Designed by Singapore’s KulörGroup, sustainable luxury has been a guiding principle in the creation of ‘.Here’. The resort was constructed from responsibly sourced materials with minimal site disturbance and construction practices that reduce impact on the reef, according to the architects. Signature elements include natural materials, dynamic circulation flows, and sightlines curated to trace the sun’s path.
‘.Here’s’ design elements were created by the award-winning British design studio, Muza Lab. Designers Inge Moore and Nathan Hutchins took inspiration from the textures, shapes, and colors of the natural world, using materials including carved timbers, stone, and marble. They also infused it with accents inspired by Maldivian feylis (sarongs), dhonis (boats), and other iconic local cultural symbols.
