Marvin Humes, who shot to fame in 2008 with the British boyband JLS on The X-Factor, will soon be heading to the Maldives to perform a DJ set this New Year’s Eve. The show is taking place at Kurumba Maldives, where the DJ, producer, and KISS FM and KISSSTORY radio presenter will be spinning tunes at the resort’s stunning Kandu Bar. Set on the edge of the lagoon, Kandu Bar features a large sundeck which is perfect for dancing the night away under the stars. Anyone wanting to catch Marvin might still be lucky enough to get a ticket, as long as they move fast to book a holiday at Kurumba.
A spokesperson for Kurumba Maldives, which is located just a short speedboat ride from the international airport in Male’ Atoll, said: “Expect a mix of luxury, vibrant music, and the breathtaking setting of the Maldivian ocean, creating a celebration like no other”.
In the build-up to Marvin’s DJ set, there will be a plethora of fun activities for families and couples throughout the day followed by pre-gala cocktails and a delectable New Year Gala Dinner.
Marvin is a big fan of the Maldives, having proposed to his wife here in 2011. They’ve subsequently become regular visitors, now with their three children in tow.

He was also a contestant on the 23rd series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in December 2023.
DJ-ing has always been a huge part of Marvin’s life and he has performed electrifying sets around the world including in Ibiza, Dubai and Las Vegas. His new Noughties Baby show is touring the UK through 2024 and into 2025.
