Ronan Keating to kick off festive season at Velaa Private Island Maldives
Fans of Irish singer-songwriter, Ronan Keating, are in for a treat this Christmas – that is, if they can grab one of the last available villas at Velaa Private Island before December 20. That’s because Ronan is gearing up to perform a special concert for guests staying at the resort, which is Noonu Atoll, Maldives.
The one-off concert takes place on December 20, marking not only the luxury resort’s 11th anniversary but also the start of its festive season celebrations. Ronan will be entertaining guests during Velaa Private Island’s Anniversary Gala Dinner, and the special occasion will be free of charge for any guests staying at the resort.
The performer is perhaps best known internationally for his solo single, When You Say Nothing At All, which featured in the movie Notting Hill and reached number one in the charts in many countries around the world. However, Ronan was already famous in Europe as co-lead singer of the pop band Boyzone. The 90s boyband was the subject of a Sky documentary this year.
Other highlights of the festive season at Velaa include a sunset cocktail party with canapes on Christmas Eve (December 24) ahead of Santa’s arrival on Christmas Day, with gifts for the resort’s youngest guests. There will also be live performances and a beach BBQ at a Pop Night on December 28 and a Jazz Night and Seafood Extravaganza on December 30.
Then it’ll be time to ring in 2025 in style, with a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, plus musical entertainment and theatrical performances.
The party continues with an Italian Riviera Swing Band on January 2, concluding with Festive Finale Gala Dinner on January 6.
