Former English Premier League players and UEFA coaches will host training camp at Kuramathi Maldives
Kuramathi Maldives is preparing to welcome three England football icons over two weeks this summer. Liverpool and England superstar, John Barnes, legendary manager and player, Harry Redknapp, and manager and former defender, Stuart Pearce, will arrive at the famous Rasdhoo Atoll resort to coach kids at football training camps in association with Campioni.
Campioni offers exclusive football training camps at many of the world’s top luxury family resorts. They are aimed at kids aged four to 15.
The special sessions at Kuramathi Maldives will see John Barnes teaming up with a UEFA coach to train kids from July 28th to August 1st. Then Harry Redknapp and Stuart Pearce will take over the reins and coach kids at the resort from August 4th to August 8th. The special kids’ football camps in the Maldives are the opportunity of a lifetime for young footballers.
Any kids staying at the Kuramathi Maldives resort during that period who want to ‘Train Like A Pro’ will receive two hours of coaching daily from the football legends. They will coach kids in fundamental football skills as well as the importance of teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. With personalised advice throughout the sessions on honing their skills, it’s a chance to learn from the best in English footballing history.
As part of the experience, the whole family can get involved. The family-friendly additional activities include an invitation to family welcome drinks, an optional mid-week parents’ game with the pros, and an end-of-week medal and certificate presentation event.
While the kids are busy sharpening their skills on the pitch, parents can unwind across the resort. The island is particularly noted for its’ 0.6-mile (1km)-long white sandbank and superb scuba diving opportunities. Other highlights include Kuramathi’s Spa, located along the water’s edge, and a Champagne Loft.
Kuramathi Maldives also has a Kid’s Club, Bageecha, which is complimentary for children aged three to 12 years old. Children can enjoy indoor activities such as storytelling, face painting, karaoke and arts and crafts. Outside, they can play at the whale seesaw, jungle gym, and sandpit. Older kids can try badminton, football, ping pong, baseball and basketball.
