As Season 29 of the reality TV series is poised to kick off, this Maldives resort will see a surge in bookings
The cast of hit reality show, Made in Chelsea, have visited a host of glamorous locations over the years. But the resort in the Maldives featured in Season 29 could be the most breathtaking location yet.
Made in Chelsea Season 29 kicks off on the UK’s E4 at 9pm on Monday, March 31, 2025. The new trailer (above) was recently released and shows the cast frolicking in the Maldives. They can be seen jetskiing on a lagoon, enjoying al fresco meals on a beach, and there’s an aerial shot of a Maldivian island. The epic scenery is leading many fans of the show to wonder which resort in the Maldives Made in Chelsea Season 29 was filmed at.

If you’re already familiar with the Maldives, you may have spotted that it’s the stunning Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort. The five-star resort is located in Baa Atoll, which is a 40-minute flight from the seaplane terminal next to Velana International Airport. Alternatively, take a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo airport, followed by a 30-minute speedboat ride to the resort.
As you can see (above), some members of the Made in Chelsea cast, such as Jules Pollard, have already shared behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. They were taken on the beach, in the villas and by the pool at Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort. There are also a couple of shots from a snorkelling excursion to one of the many excellent dive sites in Baa Atoll. Baa Atoll is a Unesco World Biosphere Reserve due to its remarkable marine biodiversity.

There are two main types of accommodation at Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort – villas and residences. The residences are the largest type of accommodation. In Jules’ Instagram photo taken with Ruby Adler (below), we can tell from the distinctive sheer blue and white ombre curtains that they are inside a residence. (All the villas only feature sheer white curtains).

The resort’s residences are all perched over the water, on stilts. They have two or three bedrooms and range from a spacious 287sqm (3089 sqft) to an opulent 368sqm (3961 sqft). If you would like to book the same kind of residence featured in Made in Chelsea, they cost roughly between £1,470 ($1902 USD) to £3,368 ($4,359 USD) per night. However, exact prices depend upon availability and the time of year.

One excited Made in Chelsea fan, who happened to be on holiday at the same time as the filming, wrote on Tripadvisor in February under the handle @Navika N: “Having the crew and cast of Made in Chelsea Season 29 ( as informed by the director possibly) shooting on location added glamor to a near perfect location”. She added that the resort has “softer sands than most resorts in the Maldives”, and was “rich with marine life a few meters from our rooms”.
The resort’s general manager, Judd Rabbige, replied to her, confirming the presence of the cast and crew of Made in Chelsea: “Having the cast and crew of Made in Chelsea on site must have been an exciting addition to an already perfect setting”.
The Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is expected to see an uptick in visitors following the launch of the new season of Made in Chelsea. Typically, the Maldives receives an extra boost in visitor numbers every time a new TV show or movie is filmed in the Maldives.

For the uninitiated, Made in Chelsea follows the lives of a group of 20-somethings living in one of London’s most expensive postcodes. According to Channel Four (owners of E4), viewers can expect “lies, lust and plenty of drama” from Season 29. “It’s not all sunshine, snorkelling and Sea Breezes, as before long, closely kept secrets, simmering crushes and old grudges collide with shocking showdowns”.
In fact, Made in Chelsea cast member, Jack Taylor, declared on Tiktok “We all hate each other now”. Meanwhile, Jules Pollard tells fans: “Oh it’s going to be gooood”.

While the Maldives is already very popular with British visitors (the UK is its’ number two market once again), the British show also has a large international following. This means Made in Chelsea Season 29 could also attract fans from other countries to visit the Maldives, too.
According to Parrott Analytics, Made in Chelsea commands 3.9 times the audience demand of the average show in the UK. But it also has a large demand from Poland, New Zealand, and Belgium.
